Had lunch this past Sunday at Carlos O'Briens on Happy Valley Road. It was a not too busy time and the food came out hot and delicious. I ordered a Chili Relleno that was surprisingly good. The green chili was large and filled with hot melted cheese. The spices were just right and I enjoyed every bite. The servers spoke Spanish and helped us with our attempts as well. Muy Sabroso!
The restaurant was open and airy. The staff were nice. Service was good.( a little slow) Food was pretty good and arrived hot. One small critiques: the onions and jalapeños were rough chopped. I found chunks in my food that were nickel size and scallions that were 1/2 in long. I work in close proximity to people and the smell and aftertaste were overwhelming. I think a fine chop would solve this problem and stretch your onions and jalapeños to go further. You are not the only restaurant that does this. And i have posted to these others. I was told to specify while ordering. If i knew that's how it comes then ,ok. I would rather not cross you off of my restaurant choices because of this.
Great food at decent prices. Both times my wife and I went we enjoyed the atmosphere and experience very much! We will definitely go a third, fourth, fifth, so on and so forth times! Really like it here! Not sure why they have such a bad general rating.
Ordered the green corn tamale and it was excellent. My son ordered the shrimp fajitas and ate it all. Can't go wrong with a chimichanga and the endless bowls of chips and salsa. We were seated quickly and the service was great.
Stopped for lunch. Food was excellent from Salsa, Margaritas and food. Arnaldo, our waiter, was wonderful and attentive. We will definitely be back.
First time there, and it won't be our last. Anna took care of us. First time ever having a Mexican pizza, we really enjoyed it and the margaritas weren't bad either. I WOULD RECOMMEND.
